CADDi’s Founding Story
CADDi began on the shop floor quoting parts from drawings, coordinating with factories, and inspecting quality ourselves. In those early days, our founders saw the brilliance of manufacturing: the intuition of experienced engineers and the craftsmanship within every factory and supplier network. But they also saw how easily that knowledge could vanish.
Founded in 2017 by Yushiro Kato (McKinsey, embedded in factories) and Aki Kobashi (Apple engineer), CADDi was built on a conviction: manufacturing cannot move forward if its expertise remains unutilized and scattered.
Our mission is to unleash the potential of manufacturing by converting experience into shared intelligence. With a global team nearing 1,000 people, CADDi builds a Manufacturing AI Data Platform that preserves hard-earned know-how and elevates decision-making across engineering teams, factories, and suppliers.
Manufacturing holds limitless potential. We’re here to make it compounding.
